Bendel Insurance regained the lead through right winger Vincent Augustus who scored five minutes after the hour mark.
The scores would be level once again as Berkane fought back and found their second equaliser when Mohamed El Morabit scored seven minutes from time..
The reverse fixture will take place at the Berkane Municipal Stadium on September 29.
It will be the first-ever meeting between both teams.
